Othello 2014

With a fantastic first half of the Othello tour already under their belts the fantastic Icarus cast and production team have been hard at work getting their second production, Hedda Gabler, ready for its opening night at the Millfield Theatre on 24th January.

Alongside Hedda rehearsals the cast have been working with Director Max Lewendel on keeping Othello fresh and current, setting aside one day a week to run fights, music and scenes so that the play is on top form for its own opening night at the Millfield on the 27th January.

On Wednesday 15th January Musical Director Ron McAllister spent the whole day at the London Bubble rehearsal space fine tuning the musical aspects, and fight director Ronin Traynor and voice coach Emma Vane were also on hand to work with the cast on moments from both productions to make sure everything is safe and supported.

Meanwhile Christopher Hone‘s fabulous multifunctional set has been transformed as the team reconfigure it for each production, meanwhile Chris Withers and Theo Holloway have been hard at work on lighting and sound design respectively, Hannah White has been sourcing wonderful props, and Ilona Kahn has been putting the finishing touches to the superb period costumes.
