Having a Wilde time at South Hill Park!

It is always good to come home when you are touring, and at South Hill Park Arts Centre this week the Icarus company were certainly made to feel like they had!

As Icarus Theatre Collective are an associate company at the venue, the cast had the opportunity to catch up with Othello Musical Director, Ron McAllister, at the arts centre’s wonderful Wilde Theatre.

As well as honing the show even further this meant an opportunity for a guided tour of the beautiful grounds…WP_001673

…and a slap-up high tea courtesy of Ron and the fantastic Cafe Atrium staff:

At the first performance the audience were treated to a string quartet playing music from the show live in the foyer of the theatre while they waited for the house to open:

Then it was on to the show, where both nights the audience were wonderfully receptive and generous:

The company were delighted to be at South Hill Park for two days, and are looking forward to returning to the venue on the 3rd and 4th of February 2014 with their production of Hedda Gabler!
